Web Application Penetration Testing

Hands-on security testing of web applications to identify vulnerabilities

What we test

Scope of testing.

  • Injection (SQL, NoSQL, command, LDAP) and XSS
  • Authentication, session management and access control (IDOR, privilege escalation)
  • Business logic, file upload, SSRF, XXE and deserialization
  • Security misconfiguration, sensitive data exposure, insecure headers and TLS
Process

Mapped to the five phases.

The same discipline applies across every discipline we test.

  1. 01

    Scoping

Define assets, rules of engagement, timelines and testing type (black / grey / white box).

  2. 02

    Discovery

Reconnaissance, enumeration, threat modelling and attack surface mapping.

  3. 03

    Testing

Vulnerability identification and controlled exploitation to confirm impact.

  4. 04

    Reporting

Findings with CVSS scoring, evidence, business impact and remediation steps.

  5. 05

    Re-test

Verification of fixes and issuance of a closure report.

FAQ

Web Application: common questions.

Straight answers on scope, method and deliverables.

What parts of a web application are tested?

Everything reachable in the agreed scope: authentication and session handling, access control, business logic, input handling, file uploads and the APIs the application consumes. Findings are CVSS-scored with reproducible evidence.

Do you follow the OWASP Top 10?

Yes. Testing aligns with the OWASP Top 10 and OWASP ASVS alongside PTES and NIST SP 800-115, so results map cleanly to the frameworks your team already tracks.

Will testing affect the live application?

Controlled exploitation is performed within agreed rules of engagement, and non-destructive techniques are used by default. Anything that could cause impact is flagged and scheduled with you in advance.
