FAQ

Penetration testing, answered.

The questions we hear most from teams scoping their first test.

What is VAPT?

Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: a structured engagement that first identifies weaknesses systematically, then safely exploits them to prove real-world impact — and ends with a prioritised remediation roadmap.

How long does a penetration test take?

It depends on scope — the number and type of assets and the testing type you choose. After a scoping call you receive a fixed timeline alongside a tailored proposal.

What is the difference between a vulnerability assessment and a penetration test?

An assessment enumerates and ranks weaknesses, often with automated tooling. A penetration test is manual and adversarial: testers chain and exploit issues to demonstrate what an attacker could actually achieve.

What will we receive when the engagement ends?

An executive summary and a detailed technical report with CVSS-scored findings and reproducible evidence, a prioritised remediation roadmap, and a free re-test to verify fixes — with a closure letter or certificate on request.

Which standards and frameworks do you follow?

Testing aligns with the OWASP Top 10, OWASP API Top 10 and OWASP MASVS, PTES, NIST SP 800-115, MITRE ATT&CK and CIS Benchmarks — and it is performed only with written authorisation for agreed assets and windows.

Not sure which service you need?

Start with a scoping call and we will define the testing type, assets and rules of engagement together.
