GCP Penetration Testing

Security assessment of Google Cloud Platform services and configurations

What we test

Scope of testing.

  • IAM bindings, service-account keys and privilege-escalation paths
  • Exposed Cloud Storage, metadata-service abuse and SSRF into the control plane
  • GKE cluster, workload and network-policy hardening
  • VPC design, firewall rules, Cloud Run / Functions and secret management
Process

Mapped to the five phases.

The same discipline applies across every discipline we test.

  1. 01

    Scoping

Define assets, rules of engagement, timelines and testing type (black / grey / white box).

  2. 02

    Discovery

Reconnaissance, enumeration, threat modelling and attack surface mapping.

  3. 03

    Testing

Vulnerability identification and controlled exploitation to confirm impact.

  4. 04

    Reporting

Findings with CVSS scoring, evidence, business impact and remediation steps.

  5. 05

    Re-test

Verification of fixes and issuance of a closure report.

FAQ

GCP: common questions.

Straight answers on scope, method and deliverables.

What GCP services do you cover?

IAM bindings and service-account keys, Cloud Storage, Compute, GKE, Cloud Run and Functions, VPC and firewall design, metadata services and secret management — tested from outside and within, depending on scope.

How do you test Google Cloud safely?

Cloud testing is configuration-driven and read-heavy: we analyse IAM bindings and policy first, then validate specific exploit paths with minimal, agreed changes.

Do you test privilege-escalation paths?

Yes. Service-account key handling, role chains and metadata-service abuse are specifically probed — small IAM mistakes are what attackers escalate first.
